A weekend with the nature between Mugello and Florence

A green weekend in Tuscany between the countryside and the city. Being immersed in nature you will get to know another Florence, that of gardens and panoramic views. Florence seen from above, intimate and far from chaos. The Mugello is also known for its luxuriant, sometimes wild and uncontaminated nature. What a better way to appreciate it than with a picnic based on local products and the opportunity to take a walk through woods, olive groves and lavender fields.

How the trip is structured...

1st day

Upon arrival at the B&B, check-in and allocation of the rooms. Rest of the day free to enjoy relaxation and nature, organise excursions on foot, by bike or on horseback, explore enchanting villages such as Scarperia and Sant’Agata or taste local products. Overnight stay.

2nd day

Breakfast. Day dedicated to the discovery of Florence. In the morning, meeting with the guide in Piazza Giuseppe Poggi. The walking route winds along the scenic Lungarno Serristori until you enter the Bardini Garden. Lying on the hill, it is a set of statues, fountains, woods, flowers and orchards surrounded by medieval walls and therefore not only nature, but also a place of historical and architectural importance. At the end of the tour, you can have a snack or a drink under the loggia at the top of the garden from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the historic center of Florence. Free afternoon to continue discovering Florence, shopping, visiting museums and monuments. Return to the B&B and overnight stay.

3rd day

Breakfast and picnic. In the morning check-out. At lunchtime, in the shady spaces of an estate in the heart of Mugello, a picnic will be set up based on products from the farm and the territory. From here it is possible to walk in the woods up to the lavender plantation. 1500 plants, in full bloom in July or spend time in the company of the hosts who take care of their land with passion and produce saffron, honey, wine, vegetables and fruit.
