What does it feel like at sunset on top of a mountain? Which colors and shades does your gaze wander through while waiting for the last glare of the sun? And if we are in the heart of the Apennines, among wonderful clear beech woods and grassy ridges, overlooking an unrivaled spectacle… what we will experience will remain indelible in the memory to form a precious piece of our personal “geography of the heart”. What if, following the Sentiero del Lupo, we manage to find traces of the passage of this splendid predator that populates the protected area of the Casentinesi Forest National Park? Or maybe, in silence, if we could see a Deer?

This easy and highly satisfying excursion is especially dedicated to families and small groups, photography and nature enthusiasts and to all those who wish to reach one of the most evocative natural terraces.

Period : spring, summer, autumn, winter. In case of rain the itinerary will be changed in part, in case of snow specific equipment may be required.

Distance : about 12 km (adaptable to about 7 km for families with children)

Difference in height : about 580 m

Difficulty level : E The itinerary is suitable for moderately trained hikers, the altitude difference is well distributed along the route.

Clothing and equipment: layered clothing, suitable for the season, trekking shoes, k-way and torch, 1 liter of water, packed lunch, snacks.
