Archeology, history, architecture and sea: these are the themes that bind Livorno, Baratti, Populonia and the Etruscan Coast, as well as good food, excellent wines and high-level tourist hospitality. From the Etruscans to the present day, describing a stretch of coast with multiple characteristics.

1st day

Meeting with the guide for a guided tour of Livorno. You will be enchanted by the Venezia Nuova district built in the 1600s on the model of the city on the lagoon and characterized by numerous navigable canals, bridges and historic buildings. You will visit the Old Fortress built during the 16th century to protect the city and the Duomo in Piazza Grande. With a nice walk along the sea you will arrive at the Mascagni Terrace, the beautiful square overlooking the sea made up of more than 34,000 black and white tiles, arranged to form an immense chessboard from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view. Typical lunch with the characteristic local dish: the cacciucco! In the afternoon visit to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Montenero located on a hill overlooking the sea from which you can enjoy an extraordinary panorama and whose origins, according to tradition, date back to 15 May 1345.

2nd day

Full board. Day dedicated to visiting the Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia which extends between the slopes of the promontory of Piombino and the Gulf of Baratti. Numerous itineraries can be followed within the park. You will visit Populonia where you can admire the remains of the ancient city between Etruscan walls, ancient buildings from the Roman era, stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center to get to the tower which offers a splendid 360 ° view

3rd day

Half board. You will travel with the guide the Etruscan Coast that from Livorno reaches Piombino and so called because it is linked to the presence of the Etruscans who lived there from the 9th century BC. It is a long strip of land between sea and hills where you will find sandy beaches, cliffs, rocky stretches and breathtaking coves. Among the most beautiful beaches: Castiglioncello, Vada, Marina di Bibbona, San Vincenzo. In the hinterland there are many villages that are worth a visit, in particular Bolgheri and Castegnato Carducci. End of services.
