Meeting of the participants in Florence, in place and time to be established. Departure by car or minibus towards Pontremoli, the characteristic medieval city located on the Via Francigena is rich in history and traditions. Visit of the church of San Francesco founded by the Saint in 1219 and of the walled village which can be accessed from the Cresa bridge. Continuation to the Castello del Piagnaro, a majestic fortress guarding the town; inside this mighty castle is the Museum of the Stele Statues of Lunigiana, dating back to the prehistoric period and still today cloaked in a mysterious atmosphere. Stop for lunch based on typical products with the inevitable testaroli from Pontremoli. In the afternoon visit of the Baroque Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta: walking along the village we will have the opportunity to admire the stone bridges protected by the high towers of Castelnuovo and Serratti. Before returning to Florence, visit the Pieve di Sorano, a magnificent example of Romanesque Lunigiana, Borgo di Bagnone, dominated by the Castle of Malaspina and Filetto, a small medieval village in the shape of a quadrilateral. Return to Florence. Termination of services.
