Holiday dedicated to the discovery of a territory of the Tuscan Apennines, little known and only marginally frequented, a feature that makes it even more interesting: "Parco dei Monti delle Pietre Verdi" which extends for about 1500 hectares on the side of the Tuscan Apennines. Singular is its geological composition, where the "Rognosi Mountains" emerge. Geological rocks consisting of ophiolites, a term of Greek origin, to indicate the magmatic "snake rocks", dark green, black, with silver filaments, traces of gold and shades of copper, which over the centuries have aroused the interest of Etruscans and Romans. Original here is also the vegetation that, in addition to deciduous woods, includes rare plants such as fragrant helichrysum and daphne odorosa, throughout Tuscany found only on these mountains. To get in tune with this unique environment of the Tuscan Apennines we provide accommodation in apartments or bed / breakfasts, located in ancient farmhouses, in the town of Ponte alla Pietra, not far from the best known town of Anghiari, included the latter in the list of "Most beautiful villages in Italy".
