Saint Gimignano. Breakfast. Departure for San Gimignano. The medieval city located on a hill overlooking the Val d’Elsa, famous for its towers. San Gimignano had great development during the Middle Ages thanks to the Via Francigena that crossed it. The visit will not only be historical but also sensorial among spices, gardens, olive groves and vineyards that represent the quality agri-food products typical of Tuscan traditions, true treasures of flavor expression of the vitality of the territory, sustainability and environmental and landscape protection. Lunch in a local restaurant during in San Gimignano. In the late afternoon departure for Siena. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Siena. Full board. Meeting with the guide for the visit of Siena, located in the heart of Tuscany and surrounded by hills, one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Italy. Our visit will lead us to discover the beautiful sacred complex that houses a large amount of artistic treasures, the Museum of the Hospital of Santa Maria della Scala and Piazza del Campo where the Palazzo Pubblico stands out, the secular heart of the city. The Civic Museum located inside the Palazzo Pubblico houses several masterpieces including the Majesty by Simone Martini and the Good and Bad Government by Ambrogio Lorenzetti.
Val d'Orcia and Arezzo. Breakfast. Departure for the Val d'Orcia, where the absolute protagonist is the beautiful nature and rich in local products of great quality. The whole area tells the story of Tuscan excellences and its millenary agri-food culture. We will visit the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore and the frescoes in the Great Cloister considered a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance, the lunar landscapes of the Crete Senesi and Pienza, the ideal city of the Renaissance. Stop for lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Arezzo, for the visit that will allow us to appreciate the cultural contribution of many artists, poets and artisans who were born and lived in Arezzo. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in reserved rooms. Dinner and overnight.
Arezzo, Sansepolcro and Anghiari. Breakfast. In the early morning, visit the Basilica of San Francesco in Arezzo and the cycle of frescoes of the True Cross by Piero della Francesca. Transfer to Sansepolcro. Lunch. With the visit to Sansepolcro we will have the opportunity to reflect again on the Tuscan genius of the past and present, visiting the Aboca Museum which with its path "Herbs and Health in the Centuries" enhances the therapeutic power of herbs and the history of the relationship between Man and medicinal plants. Transfer to Anghiari, a small medieval jewel that played a very important role in the Middle Ages. Return to Arezzo. Dinner and overnight stay.
