A trip through the Parks of the Maremma

Immerse yourself in nature: from the discovery of geothermal energy at the Biancane, in the Colline Metallifere Park to the breathtaking landscapes of the Maremma Park; from the mountain traditions in the Monte Amiata Wildlife Park to the Pearls of the Tuscan Archipelago.  

How the experience is structured...

Day 1

Guests’ arrival by 9.00 am (available option to book the previous night as well) in Monterotondo Marittimo. Meeting with the guide. Visit to the Mubia Museum, which will take us to the centre of the earth with its Geonave, and departure for the trekking route to the Biancane. This path is unique in the world, immersed in a lunar landscape, running between volcanic steam and lagoons, where we will discover the secrets of geothermal energy. At the end of the tour, lunch in a craft brewery that produces beer by geothermal energy. Transfer to the farm, reserved rooms to be allocated, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast. Departure for Monte Amiata. Arrival at the Wildlife Park, where a nature guide will help us to spot some specimens of deer living in freedom, and to recognise the various types of vegetation, the traces left by the animals in the area. Free lunch. Visit Amiata peak in the afternoon (not in weather bad conditions). Return to the accommodation place, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Breakfast. Departure for the port of Piombino or San Vincenzo, boarding the excursion to one of the Pearls of the Tuscan Archipelago (depending on the day and month you can choose an excursion to the Elba Island, to Pianosa or Capraia Island, two of the Pearls of the Tuscan Archipelago).

Day 4

Breakfast. Departure to the Maremma Regional Park. It is advisable to follow the “Le Torri” itinerary, where you will travel along paths immersed in the luxuriant nature of the Tuscan Maremma coast. Here you visit Le Torri, the ancient sighting outposts located within the nature reserve. Return to your accommodation. End of services.  

Notes

The programme of visits may vary depending on the day on which the excursion to one of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago is scheduled, also depending on the customer's preference. Visits to Pianosa and Capraia are scheduled for the months of July and August, and for the remaining periods, the excursion will be scheduled to the Island of Elba.
